Do fish live in irrigation cs in arizona?

I live in Litchfield park arizona and recently found a large irrigation c. I am a fishing addict and was wondering if there are any fish that would be located in the c. From the looks of it, there is an abundance of vegetation and a very sandy bottom. The canal is located at a road called Beardley Canal road. It has many areas of white water rapids and little tunnes with an occasional dam. Any information helps.
