What does the rapid appearance of new species indicate?

Can mean a number of things. Could mean with dna research and cloning and stem cell research that new species have been engineered. ie: the killer bee a science cross of an african worker bee and an american honey bee. Could mean deeper exploration and identification if species. Could mean pollution or radiation has muted species. Could mean a species taken from one eco system and placed in new one and a new form of species has emerged as a result of adaptation.
