Could somebody please help me determine what speficially is wrong with my laptop?

this is somewhat long, and I apologize for how Long it is. I have a windows 7 compaq laptop. it has issues booting up and appears to be stuck in a loop. it will not start up and when I hold down F8 to access the advanced startup options for safe mode the computer makes rapid beeping sounds, about one beep per second for around 5 seconds. upon trying to start the computer in safe mode, it loads everything in the black screen then restarts normally. upon trying to restart the computer with the last known working settings, a blue screen came up stating that the computer was shut down to prevent damage and said something about an unmountable boot volume. I know this is the "blue screen of death", but I was hoping somebody could give me suggestions on what specifically is wrong with the computer. sorry for how long this was and I appreciate any suggestions as to what specifically may be the problem.
