How long does it take for a broken finger to heal?

i broke the tip of my finger about 2-3 weeks ago. how can i tell that it is healed? it is still swollen. and i broke the tip of it. Just the tip. and im not able to bend the joint thats connected it hurts when i bend it. so how do i fix it? and is there a way to speed up the process?
