Do you think that using Diana's engagement ring could be a bad luck omen?

I don't want to put a damper on the wedding, (and I know it is too late anyhow) however as Diana's marriage didn't work do you think that this ring would have been better used as a dress ring perhaps or a gift on Kate's birthday? I once went to have my fortune told by a woman who uses objects rather than palms, and I handed over a ring to her. She immediately asked me if it was my ring because she got 'bad vibes' from it. I was wearing an old engagement ring on my right hand as a dress ring but it was from an ex. Or do you think it is a nice gesture to have Diana's ring?
