Dreaming about evil things/the devil?

so for the last couple of months i've been dreaming about me trying to get away from the devil. some of my dreams have consisted of a black dog (apparently a bad omen) singing this song telling me that i can run as far as i want but i can't get away. except it was a little more scary looking than just a regular dog.. it was like half dog, half human. i've had a dream about confronting "death", and people telling me to look him in the eye because he'll get me if he thinks i am scared. just tons and tons of stuff that i don't feel like writing but i've been dreaming about it So much that i'm starting to get paranoid (being afraid of the dark, being afraid of being home alone, not wanting to even look in a mirror because i'm afraid something will happen). i haven't watched any scary movies in a good 5 months. i'd just like some people's opinions on why this is happening. thanks
